Below is a recent pet portrait that was commissioned as a Christmas gift. The dog was a much loved family pet that the owner had a painting of already from another artist, but wasn't very happy with the results.
I'm pleased to say that they loved my version of the dog portrait painting and are excited about giving the gift to their loved one.
The painting itself was a little challenging as unfortunately the photo that I was using as reference material was fairly old and a scan of a print, meaning there wasn't as much detail or clarity as I would have liked. However, the final painting came out nicely and the resemblance to the dog in the photo was clear to see :)
